Isbell’s company, Isbell Engineering Group (IEG), provided services based on integrity for clients in Texas, Oklahoma and other areas nationwide. BIM Modeler

BIM Modeler

Purpose:  We are seeking an accomplished BIM Modeler who will provide design support to our architectural team: must be proficient in AutoCAD and Revit. This position works under the direct supervision of the Project Architects.

Work Schedule: 7:30 am – 5:30 pm Monday through Thursday and 8:00 am – 12:00 pm Friday (minimum). Hours will vary on holiday weeks.

Essential Responsibilities/Skills (may include but are not limited to the ability to)

  • BIM modelling and CAD drafting support for Associates and Project Managers during the planning, design, and construction phases of various projects
  • Coordinate and manage Revit models
  • Create | Modify | Update Revit families and CAD blocks as needed
  • Provide prompt and accurate progress status reports on a regular and consistent basis to supervisor and project team members
  • Review all work for errors and mistakes prior to any formal document issue
  • QA/QC Maintain, create, and follow check-lists to ensure consistency and quality of work on every project
  • Coordinate REVIT Data and models with Navisworks
  • Meet or exceed deliverable timelines
  • Complete accurate and timely project time sheets accounting for time spent on each project
  • Reinforce the BIM adoption process through continual improvement and implementation
  • Identify training opportunities and areas for improvement based on day to day experiences and exposure to various projects
  • Assess and refine efficiencies with all modeling workflows

Essential Qualifications

  • 3-8 years of relevant Architecture and Engineering experience
  • Proficiency using REVIT for commercial construction projects
  • Ability to create and modify Revit families and CAD dynamic blocks
  • Revit model coordination and Navisworks clash detection
  • Must be able to produce construction documents for:
    • Hospitality
    • Commercial Office and Industrial
    • Educational
    • Recreational
    • Public and Private Sector work
  • Sketch Up modeling, MS Office and preparation of presentation materials is desirable
  • Effective verbal and graphic communication, organizational and collaborative skills
  • Point Cloud Experience a plus

  • Degree in Architecture

Chief Electrical Engineer

Purpose: Responsible for the design and implementation of electrical design projects requiring the use of design techniques, theory principles and technical knowledge. Perform work in accordance with client’s instructions/design concepts; Provide technical analysis and /or resolution of engineering problems; Work with multi-disciplined team.

                                                      

Work Schedule: 7:30 am – 5:30 pm Monday through Thursday and 8 am – 12:00 pm Friday (minimum). Hours will vary on holiday weeks.

 

Essential Skills (may include but are not limited to the ability to)

  • Prepare electrical design for large scale projects-industrial, institutional, office, retail, healthcare and other
  • Apply design knowledge in power distribution, grounding, lighting, control systems, and equipment specifications and selections
  • Analyze complex engineering problems and offer effective resolutions
  • Interact with all engineering disciplines, construction project managers, and clients
  • Work within company policy and OSHA Safety rules

Essential Qualifications

  • Must possess Bachelor or Master’s degree in electrical engineering
  • Registered in the State of Texas preferred; ability to be licensed in multiple states; NCEES record current
  • Must have advanced knowledge of electrical engineering and design and be familiar with applicable codes for building, energy, and construction standards and acceptable industry practices
  • Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time
  • 5+ years of formal experience in electrical system design for buildings
  • Experience with Engineering Design software
  • Experience with Lighting Design and Photometric Software
  • Experience with latest versions of AutoCAD
  • Must have experience as a project lead on complex, multi-discipline engineering design projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required with the ability to prepare written specifications and contract documents.

Civil Engineer

Purpose: Responsible for the design and implementation of civil discipline projects, such as building structures and facilities, roads, power plants, water and sewage systems etc., requiring the use of design techniques, theory principles and technical knowledge. Perform work in accordance with architect and client’s instructions/design concepts –project scheduling; Provide technical analysis and /or resolution of engineering problems; Coordinate with agencies and other parties that may be affected by the design such as  TxDot, municipalities, etc.; Work with multi-disciplined team.

                                                      

Work Schedule: 7:30 am – 5:30 pm Monday through Thursday and 8 am – 12:00 pm Friday (minimum).

 

Essential Skills (may include but are not limited to the ability to)

  • Prepare civil design for large scale projects-industrial, municipal, institutional, office, retail, residential
  • Apply knowledge to site/roadway/parking layout, grading, storm water and drainage, utility design
  • Analyze complex engineering problems and offer effective resolutions
  • Ability to direct a team of designers and support personnel
  • Interact with all engineering disciplines, construction project managers, and clients
  • Lead an civil design group on large scale projects
  • Work within company policy and OSHA Safety rules

Project Architect

Project Architect

Purpose:  Under the direct supervision of the Architectural Group Leader / Manager, this position may oversee assigned projects from the conceptual stage through construction and eventual completion of the project, making sure that the architectural team assigned to the project meet quality, schedule, contractual, and budget goals.  Will lead a team that may be comprised of other architects, architectural designers, detailers and drafters, specification writers and LEED AP coordinators.  The Project Architect is expected to be confident and experienced with evaluating existing facilities, generating and or working with written and diagrammatic building programs and understanding & coordinating various building systems. The Project Architect is required to have the ability and experience to communicate clearly with and establish and sustain client relations, collaborate with governmental agencies and other project related firms that may provide out-of-house design services on any given project. Project Architects shall also be well versed in building codes potentially spanning multiple editions, design and implement creative concepts of architectural layout, formulate and oversee the architectural scope of the assigned projects, budgets, schedules and client expectations; provide input for business development needs that may arise, be familiar with the project specific contractual obligations, involved in design decisions and aware of the design progression through the phases of the assigned projects.  Not only participate in but be confident in leading project discussions and meetings; be aware of architectural team project performance through the entire project and complete architectural documents on schedule. The Project Architect is required to be aware of the financial aspects of assigned projects and prepared to work with the Project Manager to meet the overall project goals, budgets and deadlines and take responsibility for completing the architectural plans, working with the specification, interior design staff, construction administration staff and coordinating with any special Consultants that may be required to complete a given project.

  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local building codes

Essential Qualifications

  • 5 years of architectural experience
  • 2 years of construction administration experience
  • Experience working with municipalities, schools, retail, restaurants, and warehouses
  • Proficient in AutoCad 2015 or later, MS Office
  • Experience in Revit is required
  • LEED experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture
