City of Irving – Towne Lake Park

Towne Lake Park is an existing park within Irving that contains a retention/detention pond. The existing dam was eroding and subsequently creating movement in the bridge abutments. EIKON provided services to dredge the pond to restore the pond to its original design. We also improved the dam structure for the drainage systems due to erosion and settlement of the existing bridge abutments.

City of Irving – Carl Road Wall Feature

EIKON provided design services to provide construction documents for the CMU and structural steel wall feature located at the intersection of Northgate and Carl Road. The screen walls consist of one approximately 7’x10’ panel of CMU, brick, and limestone veneer and incorporated structural steel pergola elements. EIKON designed the steel structure, the foundation, and associated details for the construction of the project.

Northgate and Tom Braniff Drive Wall Feature; Irving, Texas

EIKON provided design services to provide construction documents for the CMU and structural steel wall feature located at the intersection of Northgate and Tom Braniff Drive. The screen walls consist of 5’x7’ panels of CMU, brick, and limestone veneer and incorporated structural steel pergola elements. The City wall is approximately 132 feet in length. EIKON designed the steel structure, the foundation, and associated details for the construction of the project.

Campion Trail; City of Irving, Texas

EIKON was hired by the City of Irving to provide all pedestrian bridge abutment designs in addition to several box culverts & retaining walls as part of a three-quarter mile long trail segment. We provided grading, pavement design, culvert design, and retaining walls supported by piers and footings. In order to meander a trail through an existing trace of land that that had several areas with significant grade change. In addition, we tailored the grading at a channel crossing to utilize and existing steel bridge the City wanted to save.
