EIKON served in many capacities for this new 13,000 SF Industrial Technology Center for the North Central Texas College.

This building was originally going to be directly adjacent to the existing Industrial Technology facility. This placement would have had the two buildings share an exterior material storage and supply yard.

During design, EIKON suggested moving the building as part of our Owner’s representation role. This suggested change was due to fire lane and easement issues. This led to the relocation of the Health Science Center to the planned site for this Industrial Technology Center. The Industrial Technology Center was then relocated directly across from the existing Industrial Technology facility, with shared vehicular parking between the two.

EIKON was part of the design team that completed the project after relocation. This included Owner’s representation, Architectural oversight, Engineering design and Contract Administration. EIKON coordinated design packages with an anonymous donor to the College and produced two separate design packages – one for the donor and another for bid.

The facility includes classrooms with large open spaces for vocational training. This includes numerous welding stations, machining stations among other various types of training. The new building provides for a prominent need within NCTC’s curriculum.
