The new Sherman Fire Station #4 will provide updated facilities for the city’s firefighters. Originally built in 1968, the original fire station had not undergone any improvements or renovations. Located in the Blalock Industrial Park, the new facility will give firefighters better access and a greater ability to serve the southern half of the city and its projected growth.
EIKON provided a master plan for the Fire Station #4. The seven-acre site includes a fire station and EMS building, along with a future training tower, helipad, and classroom/storage building.
Approximately 14,000 SF, the new Sherman Fire Station #4 will include apparatus bays, firefighter living space, and support spaces. The EMS building will be approximately 3,700 square feet and include office space and storage for EMS supplies. The training building will be approximately 3,400 square feet and include a large training room and support spaces.
