EIKON served as Prime Professional for the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of North Texas building renovation project. The design services encompassed programming, space planning, costing and all necessary design services from concept design thru permit documents. The design effort incorporated both interior and exterior related options for consideration and ultimately provided optimal resolution.
The interior scope included complete interior demolition, redesign and finish out of the existing 3,600 SF building. EIKON’s staff worked seamlessly with the CASA’s stakeholders to tailor the new design to meet the growing needs of the CASA group while being sensitive to budget, schedule and the historic context in which the facility resides. EIKON’s sensitivity to budget, functionality and existing code issues allowed the client to realize and incorporate the additional scope of re-roofing the entire building, further enhancing the energy performance of the facility and long term maintenance concerns. The design and application of the finishes throughout the renovation extents consider and incorporate ease of maintenance, longevity and speak appropriately to the user groups. The renovations also resolved accessibility issues inherent to both the interior level changes as well as the exterior ingress and egress paths leading from the parking area to the facility’s entrance.
