EIKON assisted the City of Pilot Point with bond planning and design for a new Police Station. EIKON initially provided planning and programming of this new, approximately 5,000 SF, two-story building which will allow the police department to relocate from the current space within Pilot Point’s City Hall.
Our design team developed the schematic design that the citizens of Pilot Point voted on in a bond election and then worked with the City of Pilot Point to review and refine the design for functionality, usability, code compliance, security, safety, and visual appeal. EIKON balanced the building’s exterior with the look and feel of the existing buildings in Pilot Point’s downtown square as well as provided numerous adaptive spaces within the interior.
During the process, EIKON provided thorough due diligence to ensure constructability and the development of cost-effective solutions throughout the design process. We also developed cost estimates to help determine the final guaranteed maximum price upon which the City of Pilot Point could authorize construction. The new facility is currently under construction and is designed to accommodate growth for the next 10 years.
